I've thoroughly enjoyed my first year here, and am excited for another one. I think I'll be able to look back and say that this was one of the best jobs I've ever had. Even when we have every station filled with computers, five hundred routers going rogue and needing to be shut down, and some weird problem with our internet provider has service out for the entire city, I love this job. I always have fun with my fellow agents, whether it's laser tag during training or the phone is ringing incessantly because the new round of password resets has taken effect.
We send emails to each other, usually beginning with something important and then devolving into complete madness. We make jokes about buying a giant red siren for the Help Desk. We throw stuff at each other.
We decorated for Christmas. Carols played for hours on end, lights hung up everywhere, and we set up a spare monitor with a countdown to the special day.
There is an entire page on our Wiki completely dedicated to quotes. We have pages and pages of ridiculous things that we say to one another.
We have a huge box of Lego bricks, which you've likely seen all over the wall visible from the window.
I love this job.
I probably should have said all of this a little sooner than the day before applications are due - oh well.
