Mac Owners BEWARE! New Virus Effecting MacOS

 While you may have heard that Mac's cannot get viruses, I am here to tell you today that in fact they can. The main reason that rumor began was that viruses were not being written for MacOS due to its very limited penetration in the market. As that has changed over the last several year, more and more viruses have started to be found for Apple's flagship computers. 

The latest one to be found may be the scariest. Known simply as "Silver Sparrow" this virus is not dangerous yet, but that is not to say that it wont become dangerous. It is currently sitting on devices pinging out to a server awaiting a response. Yet, there does not seem to be a payload (the virus to be deployed) anywhere inside the code of this program. Even worse, the program is installed under the guise of an update, so many people may not know they have it installed.

Surprisingly, this virus has also accounted for the newly released M1 chip Macbooks, meaning that Apple's new ARM chipped Macs are just as vulnerable to this virus as the previous generations Intel chipped Macs.
