Epic Game Store Not Profitable?! The Latest in the Apple v Epic Court Battle

When Apple requested financial infromation from Epic Games and Steam in the ongoing court battle. I do not believe anyone saw what was coming next. Apple released this information in new court documents obtained by PCGamer attempting to show to the court that the EGS (Epic Games Store) is not profitable nor comparable to their own App Store.

In essence Apple has pointed out through the past few years of operation, Epic has lost hundreds of millions on the operation of EGS and that even their own internal estimates show the platform will not be financially profitable until 2027 at the earliest. To quote the YouTube channel TechLinked this "may be the first attempt to win a lawsuit by proving your opponents are losers"

Apple is seemingly going on the offensive in this court battle, which is a shock compared to where this court case started with Apple completely defensive and seemingly backed into a corner. It will be very interesting to see where this legal battle goes next.
