Apple's "Conversation Boost"

On June 7, 2021, Apple announced the iOS 15 on their newsroom on apple.com. Apple also announced some additional features. Among these additional features, Apple announced a new accessibility feature that was going to help those users with minor hearing impairment by using the AirPods Pro to increase the volume and clarity of the person speaking in front of the user. In today's blog, we are going to take a look at how to activate this feature while having iOS15 and AirPods Pro available.

  • Connect your AirPods Pro through Bluetooth.
  • Launch the Settings app.
  • Tap on Accessibility.
  • Tap Audio/Visual.
  • Turn on Headphone Accommodations by tapping the switch.
  • Scroll down and tap Transparency Mode to turn it on.
  • Scroll down and tap the Conversation Boost switch to turn it on.

This is a feature designed for users with hearing impairment and can only be used with iOS 15 and AirPods Pro.
