Microsoft's foray into digital art
Microsoft is synonymous with business and productivity, their most widely-known products include the Windows operating system, and the Office suite of applications, both of which are extensively used by companies in the United States and abroad. Their Surface line of products have slowly made their way into the mainstream, being the official sidelines tablet of the NFL, Microsoft is changing how they appear to the world.
On Wednesday, Microsoft revealed their newest product in the Surface family, the Surface Studio, and all-in-one PC, with the world's thinnest LED monitor.
The Surface Studio focuses on creativity, it provides an unparalleled experience in digital art, 3D graphics, and editing. The base of the device holds a 28'' PixelSense touch screen display, which can be tilted down 20 degrees. Depending on configuration it can include and Intel i5/i7, up to 4GB of graphics memory, and 32GB of RAM.
Alongside the Studio, Microsoft showed off the Surface Dial, a new type of device meant to work in Tandem with Surface tablets, and the Surface Studio. It provides context-aware radial menus, allowing a whole new form of input. Changing your pens color while drawing, or scrubbing through a song, are much more intuitive with the Surface Dial.
