Not All HEROs Wear Capes - GoPro 2016
GoPro History
In 2002, Nick Woodman went on a surfing trip in Australia in hopes of catching some gnarly waves while also getting some high quality photos. He quickly realized that amateur photographers were unable to capture action photos because they could not get close enough to the action, and most of them did not have the money to buy expensive camera. This inspired Woodman to create Woodman Labs, Inc. which we now know as GoPro. The company did not really catch fire until 2010. In 2014, when Tony Bates joined GoPro, the former executive at Microsoft, things really started to explode. Yes, GoPro has had its rough patches financially, but today GoPro has over $1.62 billion in sales and $1.10 billion in assets. This year is a pivotal year for the action video company. I published this blog to show you what GoPro has released or plans to release this quarter.GoPro's Newest Gear
