The Apple Environment

If you own an Apple device, then you probably know about this but maybe never stopped to think about it. Apple offers you many products that interconnect with each other. This gives you many advantages such as being able to copy text to clipboard on your Mac and paste it on your iPhone and vice versa, being able to access all your files on your iPad on your Mac, and now with the introduction of iPadOS, it is going to be easier to navigate through files and do more things with your iPad.

All these things are great, but you are slowly going into what is called “The Apple Environment”. You are tempted to continue going into their environment with each product you buy. For me, it all started with a MacBook Pro, then purchased an iPad pro with the pencil, and continued from there. The connectivity around all your devices is amazing and it is something many other companies have not achieved yet, for example, you are even able to unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. But the question is: To what cost?
Apple is also known for their lack of connectivity with other platforms. It is harder to change from an iPhone to an Android than doing the opposite, and the reason is very simple: they don’t want you to stop buying their products. Once you have entered the Apple environment and you want to change to another manufacturer you think: Is it really worth it? I already invested all this money.
All these products are very expensive, that is why I encourage you to think about it before changing platforms. Apple offers many advantages that other competitors do not, but if you want to go back, you lose some of the features you are probably using without noticing.
