What If it takes longer? How can we log into Canvas?
- We are setting up cloud-based
authentication so that the service to Canvas will not be interrupted from
off campus. You can get to Canvas from https://harding.instructure.
com - If we encounter major problems, we can "roll back" to the old router
Why are we doing it at this time, right before finals?
- There is no longer any ideal or good time to make these types of changes. Leaving it until later will take us into grades being submitted and processed right after finals week, degrees to be conferred and then Christmas break
- We weighed all the dates and times and have chosen the 11th and 12th as times when:
- The needed resources are available on the night and the days following
- There is adequate time before the 11th and 12th to plan and prepare the implementation
- The system will have some load placed on it once it is in place
- No time is ideal -- that's why we have also put strong fall back options in place
Can I access Pipeline during this time?
- No, Pipeline will not be available while the Data Center is offline
- After the Data Center is back online, Pipeline will be available off campus
Will I still get email?
- Yes and no. Email will still be available on mobile devices that stay logged into email
- To access email via your browser on a computer will be similar to how it works with Pipeline. After the Data Center is back online, email will be available off campus
