Getting Started at Harding University

Hello to all the new and returning students!

Since we are just over a month from move in, we just wanted to remind everyone of some useful information that will help getting ready for the semester go a little bit smoother.

DormNet:

• Our summer hours are currently:
• Monday-Friday: 8AM-12PM, 1PM-5PM
  
  
• During the school year our hours will be:
• Monday-Thursday: 10AM-10PM
• Friday: 10AM-5PM
• Sunday: 7PM-10PM
  
  
• We are located in Administration 205

Accounts:

• Everyone should have their account by the time you arrive, if you do not, please click here to activate your account. You will need to have your account activated before you can register for classes, purchase books, and find important account specific information that you will need for the semester.
• If you account has been activated but you forgot your password or are having other issues, please contact us at: (501) 279-4545.

Dorm Info:

• The Wi-Fi is for students HU-STUDENT and the password will be posted in your dorm.
• If you are connecting in a dorm, you will be required to log in with your Harding username and password. After you log in and accept the terms of use, you will need to install the policy key that keeps your computer and other computers safe.
• If you use a Mac, you will be required to install an anti-virus program. If you need assistance, please contact DormNet at (501)279-4545.
• If you have trouble connecting game consoles, smart tv's, or other wireless devices, please contact us for assistance -- (501)279-4545.

Other useful information:

• There are 10 public computer labs available for students to use. There are also other department specific labs that will have resources for specific majors. Printers are available in each of the public labs.  There are also computers available in the Library.
• All current Harding University students can download Office 365 for free onto their personal computers. This is made available to the students after they register for classes. Follow this link and enter in your Harding Email address (username@Harding.edu) to access the download file.

• Pipeline:
• Pipeline is the central hub for a student's account. This is where they can create and find their class schedule, access their financial information, and access other important account information.

• Here students can set a recovery email address or change their password.

• DormNet Blog:
• On the DormNet blog students can find information regarding DormNet and read blog articles written by the employees of DormNet. These articles cover a wide variety of topics in the ever-changing technology landscape.

• Canvas:
• Canvas is where students will find all of their class information. Assignments, lectures, and other class-specific information can be found here.
